Dear Friend,

At CPRO (the Columbia Pike Revitalization Organization) we are particularly proud to support and sponsor the work of the Columbia Pike Documentary Project Photographers.

Their truly amazing takes on Columbia Pike and on the people who live and work in its many neighborhoods will be projected during one week, from March 14th to March 20th, in Arlington's new Arts Center, the Artisphere. This week-long event will bring the Pike, "our Pike", closer to a broader Arlingtonian and Metropolitan audience.

On this occasion, we are pleased to invite you to a

Reception in honor of the Artists of the Columbia Pike Documentary Project

which will take place in the Artisphere on March 18th

at 7:30pm-9:00pm.

Acclaimed Acoustic Blues Musician Rick Franklin will perform some true Pike Blues.
Wine, light refreshments and snacks will be served courtesy of the Arlington Community Credit Union who graciously sponsors our event.

The CDPD-Artists will be exhibiting photographs of people and contemporary life along the ethnically diverse and rapidly changing Columbia Pike corridor, one of the most culturally varied and transitional neighborhoods in the Washington DC area.  CDPD's visual work projects a wide range of powerful documentary photographs that vividly depict the multi-hued faces and places along the Pike.
Photographers Lloyd Wolf, Duy Tran, Paula Endo, Xang Mimi Ho, Aleksandra Lagkueva & Elayna Tursky will be exhibiting their body of works as part of an ongoing project which consists of photographs and oral histories documenting the community's life, culture, businesses, physical environment, historical trends, and neighborhoods.

Admission to the Reception is Free
However, we accept donations on behalf of the Documentary Project. All proceeds will go to support CPDP.

Please RSVP!
I can't make it
We are looking forward to seeing you.

Sincerely,

Takis Karantonis
