| Friday, June 24, 7pm Pike Neighborhoods Plan Charrette Kick-Off Presentation When: Friday, June 24th, 7pm-9:30pm. What: This introductory session will set the stage for the Pike Neighborhoods Plan Charrette and all relevant Events in the week ahead. Come to this session to learn about how the Columbia Pike Housing Study is progressing and how public participation will be organized in a series of meetings during the following week. Here are important online resources: Pike Neighborhoods Plan Website [Documents, Dates, Details] Under One Roof Blog Series on Columbia Pike Frequently Asked Questions on the Col. Pike Housing Study. And finally: What is a "Charrette"? Here is a video that explains the concept! A "Charrette" is an intensive planning session where citizens, designers and others collaborate on a vision for the development of our area. It is a forum for ideas and a tool for community transformation through public participation. |
Saturday, June 25, 9am -2pm Pike Neighborhoods Plan Charrette Day! When: Saturday, June 25th, 9am-2pm. What: Work alongside your neighbors to draw your ideas for the future of Columbia Pike's residential neighborhoods. Light Lunch will be provided. This is the 'actual' Charrette Day and everybody is invited to participate. RSVP is not necessary, however, please call 703-228-0096 or send an email to columbiapikeplanning@arlingtonva.us so that event organizers can anticipate the number of participants.
