StormwaterWise Landscapes Program - Applications due by February 29 th !! Have you been thinking about installing a raingarden, cistern, or pervious pavers? The Arlington StormwaterWise Landscapes Program provides County residents and business owners with funding to install small-scale practices that will reduce stormwater runoff from their property. Starting Your Vegetable Garden From Seeds Indoors. Wednesday, February 22, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m . Join us to learn the basics of successful plant propagation, including seed selection, requirements for germination, tips on transplanting, and the importance of hardening plants before moving them outdoors. There will be two of these same events in different locations. One in Arlington, and one in Alexandria. The information for both events is listed below. Dispose of hazardous household materials, computer monitors, and televisions ($15 fee for computers and a $20 fee for televisions), and recycle small metal items, electronics, shoes, clothes, linens, eyeglasses, and durable medical equipment. Serviceable bikes will be collected by Bikes for the World (BfW) to be sent to countries where they are needed for basic transportation. E-CARE is open to Arlington residents only; bring your ID.
