Arlington View Clean Up Day: Saturday September 19th

Exerpt from an email from Jorge Laura, Housing Outreach Program Coordinator/ Inspector, to Eugene Hubbard, President of the Arlington View Civic Association:

Dear Mr. Hubbard:

After consultation with the office of Environmental Services and the Neighborhood Strategic Areas (NSA) inspector, I am pleased to inform you that Arlington View has been selected for a Neighborhood Clean-up day. Please understand that we are not able to offer this program every year to your neighborhood.

The purpose of the NSA Clean up Program is to encourage resident involvement in neighborhood problem solving, particularly related to improving the environment. The program will improve the appearance of the neighborhoods by reducing the accumulation of discarded household goods, excess building materials, used recreational equipment and some automobile parts accumulated in private property. The clean up event may be paired with other neighborhood event such as a community picnic, yard sale, or other activities that involve residents and owners from all segments of the community to enhance community pride.
